Plain Homeland
Opened on 1 October 2025, the Guangdong Tiger Leaping Gorge Resort is a big new tourist attraction in western part of Guangdong, China. The resort is in a river canyon in Guangdong and has boutique homestays and art hotels. This is an important project for Xinyi City as part of its "Hundred-Thousand-Million Project" to improve cultural tourism.

When you go into the resort, you'll see the Golden Hall. This building looks like a weaving Chinese straw raincoat. It features a traditional "spiral pattern" symbol from Xinyi City. It celebrates local artistry, using the shadows of window and doors to gently echo the shining hills and limpid waters. This creates a beautiful balance between what you can see and the culture behind it.

The designers of the Golden Hall didn't just think about how practical the furniture would be. They also thought about how it would make visitors feel, like they were on holiday. So, they chose designs that look good and are comfortable by smartly using colour, shape and texture. Everyone who sits on one of our sofas is completely relaxed.
Here, the smell of coffee mixes with the comfortable furniture and the relaxing music, creating a perfect mix of relaxation, beauty and connection. This space becomes a "space hidden from the mountains" where you can enjoy coffee and art.

As mountain breezes gently caress the trees and dappled light dances through the forest, time flows slowly here. People start to think about what kind of life we really want to live. This idea inspired Plain Homeland to work with the Guangdong Tiger Leaping Gorge Resort. Together, we explored what it means to "live with beauty".
In the children's play area, TOGO armchairs are placed by the windows, which are filled with the warmest sunlight, making childhood feel golden. The seats are designed so that children can climb, sit, roll and play on them. The curved shape offers a sense of security, like being cradled by the mountains.

Plain Homeland is inspired by nature. It uses natural materials and a simple, modern design. Between the terrace and the living room, in the misty mornings and at twilight, people and space have a quiet conversation, which helps them feel peaceful. It serves a purpose and also shows that we want to return to simplicity. True beauty can be found in everyday life.
The lounge area features Plain Homeland's original Snow Queen sofa, inspired by winter snow to capture the tranquility and purity after a snowfall. Facing the full-height canyon view window, the designer didn't decorate the room too much, leaving Snow Queen sofa as the space's focal point. Its rounded, substantial form is draped in soft, warm off-white fabric, as gentle as accumulated snow. The curved black steel legs remind us of the silent yet powerful presence of bare winter branches.
Creamy Snow Queen sofa contrasts gently with the greenery outside the window. When you're sitting here, you can't help but look at the mountains far away, and you let yourself be carried by the river's flow. Sitting here, you can't help but look at the mountains far away, and you let yourself be carried by the river's flow.

At the window corner, a petal sofa sits like a blossom, and you can move it around however you like. Its limitless shape echoes the purest freedom of mountain living. You can sit or lie down, move around or stay still. Time seems to slow down here, and you can relax.
Here, these pieces are not merely furniture; They're a place for your spirit to rest, in harmony with nature and the mountains and waters around them.

At Guangdong Tiger Leaping Gorge, furniture is more than just something to sit on. It becomes a part of the landscape, like the mountains, forests, lakes and rocks around it.This makes people feel connected to nature. With its signature craftsmanship, Plain Homeland infuses simplicity and humanistic care into every artistic space, making beauty part of everyday life. Amidst the aroma of coffee, Plain Homeland engages in a profound spatial dialogue with Tiger Leaping Gorge's local culture, jointly shaping a new paradigm for resort-style home aesthetics.
When space radiates warmth, life brims with poetry. Beauty lies not in distant horizons, but within arm's reach.
